Air pollution detection gas sensor TGS2600
It is a gas sensor that has a high sensitivity to tobacco smoke and cooking odors.
The gas sensor consists of a metal oxide semiconductor formed on an alumina substrate along with an integrated heater. When detectable gases are present, the sensor's conductivity increases as the concentration of the gas in the air rises. Using a simple electrical circuit, this change in conductivity can be converted into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration. The TGS2600 has high sensitivity to tobacco smoke and cooking odors. By using relative value detection (which detects air pollution based on how much the sensor's resistance changes from a baseline of clean air), it achieves control that is closer to human perception. The heater current is small at 42mA, and it operates at a constant voltage of DC5V, making it a very user-friendly sensor that is widely used for controlling air purifiers and similar applications. ◆ For more details, please contact Figaro Engineering directly.
